Jobs and Responsibilities of Assistant Manager (Machine Building Department)

We are currently seeking an individual with expertise in both design and manufacturing of Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) for our company, which operates in the manufacturing sector catering to clients in India and abroad. The ideal candidate should possess the following competencies.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Machine Building Department, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management
• Strategic planning capability to define the Scope of Work for design and manufacturing processes based on the inputs received from Sales Orders and Quotations.
• Proficiency in conducting feasibility checks for all components involved in the manufacturing of a project.
• Proficient in Understanding of 2D and 3D drawings in accordance with feasibility and part availability.
• Comprehensive understanding of hydraulic fittings, pipes, and hoses, ensuring exact specifications suitable for assembly in the design.
• Ability to identify areas for design enhancement and implement necessary changes during both the design and manufacturing phases.
• Experience in establishing standards for various segments encompassed within machine design.

               Strong organizational skills with a focus on meticulous record-keeping, including the systematic                                                      

               Drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM) data on Google Drive.

•  Aptitude for devising daily and weekly work plans for the Manufacturing team, alongside conducting regular progress meetings.
• Experience in overseeing manufacturing processes at vendor sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
• Ability to formulate project plans aligned with manufacturing steps and ensure timely machine readiness according to the schedule.
• Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

       Who can FIT in to this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Electronics.
• 5-7 Years of experience in machine building, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects and team
• Strong technical expertise in machine design, fabrication, assembly, and testing.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
