Job Description
Position: Quality Engineer (Sheet Metal) Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal and possess strong knowledge of measurement tools such as Warnier, degree measurement instruments, and inch tape. Familiarity with laser cutting and bending machines will be viewed as an advantageous skillset. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough quality inspections on sheet metal components to ensure they meet predefined standards and specifications. Utilize precise measurement tools like Warnier, degree measurement instruments, and inch tape to perform accurate dimensional checks and evaluate product quality. Collaborate closely with production teams to address and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions to improve manufacturing processes. Maintain meticulous records documenting. quality assessments, non-conformities, and corrective measures taken. Assist in developing and implementing effective quality control procedures and protocols. Provide guidance and training to production staff on quality standards and the proficient use of measurement tools. Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality engineering within the sheet metal industry. Proficiency in using measurement tools such as Warnier, degree measurement instruments, and inch tape. Knowledge of laser cutting and bending machines would be advantageous. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality inspections.
