Jobs and Responsibilities of Service and testing Engineer
1 Installation and Service:
- Perform installation and servicing of machines at various global locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical wiring and PLC programming on-site.
- PLC and HMI Programming:
- Program and configure PLCs and HMIs using Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Delta systems.
- Test and debug PLC programs to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Customer Interaction and Relationship Management:
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers to secure repeat orders.
- Generate RFQs (Requests for Quotations) from customers for spare parts and accessories regularly.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed installation and service reports using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Develop and update machine manuals and testing instructions.
- Travel and Flexibility:
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally at short notice for service and installation tasks.
- Ensure timely and efficient service delivery while on-site.
- Communication Skills:
- Communicate effectively with customers in both Hindi and English.
- Address customer queries and concerns with professionalism and clarity.
- Technical Skills and FMEA:
- Identify and implement Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in the service segment.
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
Who can FIT in to this role:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in service engineering, PLC programming, and machine installation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Delta PLC and HMI programming.
- Other Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical wiring E Plan/ AutoCAD and circuit diagrams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English.
- Ability to prepare detailed technical documentation and manuals.
Additional Requirements:
- Passport: Must possess a valid passport.
- Travel: Flexible to travel globally as required.
- Customer Service: Demonstrated ability to generate RFQs and secure repetitive orders from customers.
